Organizational Structure of

The Faculty of Arts Students' Association

MODEL.png

FASA is managed primarily by two organs: The Executive Committee, and the Council.

The Executive Committee consists of the annually elected President and 5 Vice-Presidents. The Executive Committee is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Association. This includes major events, finances, FASA policy, sponsorships and inter-organizational co-operation, and more. The Executives also provide leadership and guidance to members of the Council as "Executive Mentors."

The Council, comprised of a hired student representative from each major academic unit of the Faculty (department, school, or interdisciplinary program), oversees all of FASA's activities, and has the primary goal of engaging the Arts student body. The Council executes the main purposes of FASA: improving the student experience and the value of undergraduate degrees; promoting identity, community, and pride in the Faculty; and representing and advocating for students in the Faculty.

'19/'20 Budget

Our 2019 - 2020 Fiscal Year Budget Proposal includes the final report for the '18/'19 Fiscal Year, as well as our annual budget for this year.

The Faculty of Arts Students' Association, as a student-run, not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to ensuring transparency in both our actions and in how we spend our money.

We strive to improve student life for Arts Faculty students in everything that we do, and part of that is being open and honest about what we do and how we do it.

Accountability for us means dedication not only to our fellow students, however, but also to our Faculty who generously provide our operating budget year-over-year. The Faculty's support is imperative to our operations, and everything we do.
